Building our homes, businesses, and offices with materials that release low levels of organic compounds harmful to health and the environment, such as VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), has become equally important.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>For this reason, in today's article, we want to talk to you about the EMICODE classification of GEV, the German association that deals with the certification of products used in flooring installation, such as coatings, adhesives, and sealants that emit low levels of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Finally, we will highlight the benefits of using this type of product and highlight the COLLANTI CONCORDE adhesives that have obtained EMICODE certification.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<h2 id=\"GEV\">THE GERMAN ASSOCIATION GEV: A POINT OF REFERENCE FOR THE BUILDING INDUSTRY<\/h2>\r\n<p>GEV is a German association for emissions control, founded in 1997, working in the construction and consumer protection sectors. Its goal is to protect workers, end consumers, and the environment by providing a certification system for products used in construction, such as adhesives, that release low levels of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), organic compounds that disperse into the air even for many days after their installation.<\/p>\r\n<p>GEV is recognized globally and is a leading provider of construction products for construction companies, artisans, architects, and designers. The product meets the minimum emission level requirements.<\/p>\r\n<p>The class\u00a0<strong>EC1<\/strong>\u00a0It is the one that certifies a very low level of emissions and therefore satisfies even the most stringent requirements in terms of health and environmental protection.<\/p>\r\n<p>The class\u00a0<strong>EC1<sup>PLUS<\/sup><\/strong>, finally, is the premium class and certifies the minimum level of emissions that is scientifically possible to guarantee today.<\/p>\r\n<p>Once a product falls into one of the three classifications and obtains certification, the manufacturer commits to continuing to pursue and ensure low emissions levels to continue to merit it. GEV subjects companies to rigorous random checks: if the same company encounters repeated irregularities, the certification can be revoked and, in the most serious cases, permanent exclusion from obtaining it is possible.<\/p>\r\n<h2 id=\"PERCHE-SCEGLIERE-PRODOTTI-GEV\">WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHOOSE GEV-EMICODE CERTIFIED ADHESIVES<\/h2>\r\n<h3><strong>For people's health<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<p>Especially in recent years, we've seen how many people are spending more and more time indoors, often poorly ventilated.
