To meet the needs of the brush industry, Collanti Concorde has developed a product line of epoxy adhesives for the brush industry to replace other adhesives based on different old technologies. In this article, we are going to present you the PELKOLL product family.
What are epoxy adhesives?
Epoxy adhesives are two-component epoxy resin-based adhesives that work for interaction with a hardener/catalyst. We are speaking about thermosetting classified polymers that, once they completed their crosslinking/reaction, generate a rigid, insoluble, and infusible glue line.
These features make epoxy adhesives particularly appreciated in many sectors such as the automotive, aerospace, wood, and brush industry. This is confirmed by the constant growth of the epoxy resin market, with a world consumption in 2020 of about 3,6 million tons and a market value of 8,04 billion euros.
The PELKOLL family
Pelkoll is a product family of two-component epoxy adhesives developed by Collanti Concorde specific for the production of brushes. They have a fixed catalysis ratio of 100:11 by weight according to the application conditions each time it is possible to match a different Pelkoll with a different catalyst. In this way, the adhesive offers always optimal results in terms of reaction speed, bristles sealing, adhesive penetration and water and solvents resistance.
PELKOLL for bonding brushes
Collanti Concorde has developed various epoxy adhesives to bond every kind of brush. They work with ferrules and handles of any materials; the bristles can be organic, synthetic or a mixture of the two. The adhesives of the PELKOLL family are industrial production oriented, which means they are intended for dedicated machines with different automation and sophistication levels.
PELKOLL for bonding artistic brushes
In the PELKOLL family, you can find also adhesives that for characteristics and working times are suitable for the manufacturing of handcrafted and artistic brushes that because of their characteristics they have production processes that are not automated and with larger human intervention.
