EPOXY ADHESIVES FOR BONDING BRUSHES AND ARTISTIC BRUSHES

To meet the needs of the paintbrush industry, Collanti Concorde has developed a range of specific epoxy adhesives over time, designed to replace adhesives based on other technologies. In this article, we will introduce you to the small world of our PELKOLL adhesives.

What are EPOXY ADHESIVES?

It's abouttwo-component adhesives based on epoxy resins that work by interacting with a hardener/catalyst.We are in the presence of polymers classified as thermosetting and therefore, once the cross-linking/reaction is completed, they generate rigid glue linesinsolubili and infusible.

For these reasons, epoxy adhesives are appreciated and find application in various sectors including the automotive, aerospace, wood and even paintbrush industries.[1]Confirmation comes from the continuous growth of their market which saw a global consumption of approximately 3.6 million tons in 2020 for a value of approximately 8.04 billion Euros.[2].

What are PELKOLLs?

PELKOLL are a family of two-component epoxy adhesives developed by Collanti Concorde specifically for use in brush production. They are characterized by a fixed catalysis ratio of 100:11 by weight and depending on the conditions applications it is possible, from time to time, to combine a different resin with a different catalyst, always offering a optimal result in terms of reaction speedhold of the bristlesglue penetration and resistance to water and solvents.

PELKOLL for gluing brushes

Collanti Concorde has developed epoxy adhesives for gluing all types of brushes and that they work with ghiere e handles of any kindThe bristles can be natural, synthetic, or a mix of the two. PELKOLL models are more geared towards industrial production, using specialized machines with varying levels of automation and sophistication.

PELKOLL for gluing artistic brushes

The PELKOLL family also includes products which, due to their characteristics and processing times, are also well suited to the production of handcrafted brushes and artistic brushes which by their nature require production processes that are not very automated and require greater human intervention.
